to "give something back?" The Ignatian Lay Volunteer
Corps, a Jesuit-supported national organization, is
accepting volunteers (age 55+) to work with people who are
poor in the Greater Philadelphia area. Our members volunteer
two days weekly, and join in prayer in the Ignatian tradition.

LENTEN PROGRAMS & SERVICES
DAILY MASS is celebrated at 7:30 AM, Monday through

STATIONS OF THE CROSS will be held on Friday evening,
April 2nd at 7:30 PM at St. John Vianney
Church.
SACRAMENT OF PENANCE is held on Saturdays from 4:15 -
5:00 PM.
RELIGIOUS EDUCATION REGISTRATION - will take place on
Sunday, April 18th and Sunday, April
25th in the St. Justin Martyr Church Hall before
and after the Religious Education Program which begins at 9:00
AM and ends at 10:20 AM. Parents of incoming first graders
should bring their child’s Baptismal certificate unless the
child was baptized at St. Justin Martyr or St. John Vianney.
Fee is $75 for one child, $85 for two children and $100
for three or more.
Vicariate Holy Hour for Vocations to the Priesthood -
Everyone is invited to attend. Services begin at 7:30

Catholic Heart Workcamp - The High School Group still
has several spots available for our trip to Kearney, NJ for
Catholic Heart Workcamp from July 26th - August
1st. This mission trip is open to students who will
be in 9th grade through college in the fall of

CLOTHING DRIVE & SMALL HOUSEHOLD GOODS - The
St. Vincent de Paul truck will be at the following locations
during the month of April from 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM. On Thursday,
April 15, 2004 at St. Matthias; on Tuesday, April 20, 2004 at
Presentation BVM; and on Saturday, April 24, 2004 at St.
Colman.
EYEGLASS RECYCLING - There is a collection box for used
eyeglasses in the church vestibule. Please deposit your old
eyeglasses in the box which is provided by the Lions Club.
This program distributes used eyeglasses to the
needy.
SAFE ENVIRONMENT PROGRAM - All clergy as well as all
parish staff and volunteers who have regular contact with
young people are required to attend a Protecting God’s
Children Awareness Session for Adults. The Spring Awareness
training sessions will begin in March. Information can be
found online at www.vistus.org (The registration password is
"Trust") and at the Archdiocesan web site at www.archdiocese-phl.org. The
sessions are approximately two and a half hours long. Please
arrive 15 minutes before the session to sign-in and pick up
materials. There will be an Awareness Session at St. John
Vianney Church Hall on Wednesday, April 14, 2004 beginning at
10:00 AM. Pre-registration is required. Please check the

FOOTLOOSE - The Theatre Society of Archbishop John
Carroll High School will present its spring production of
"Broadway’s Footloose Musical", a nostalgic look back at the
’80's featuring hits such as "Footloose", Holding Out for a
Hero", and "I’m Free". Performances are scheduled on April 23,
24, 30 and May 1 at 8:00 PM and on Sunday, April 25 at 2:00
PM. Reserved ticket cost is $8 and general admission is $6.

BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT GROUP - will meet on 6 Thursdays
from 7:30 - 9:00 PM at Our Mother of Good Counsel Parish
Office, 2nd floor meeting room. Re-scheduled
dates are as follows: 4/15, 4/22, 4/29, 5/6, 5/13, and
5/20. The program serves adults who have lost a spouse,
partner, sibling or friend and will address the spiritual
